It has been formally announced by IM Global today (via THR) that Sylvester Stallone will star as a New Orleans hitman who teams with a New York City cop in a new action project called Headshot. As far as we know, this is the adaptation of Matz's graphic novel of the same name, which we covered as news a few years ago. The press release doesn't mention Matz at all, but it has the same plot and everything else. At the helm is director Wayne Kramer (The Cooler, Running Scared) working from a script by Alessandro Camon (The Bandit K., The Messenger). Kramer begins shooting in May in Louisiana and New York.
