Box Office Results

1. "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader," $24.5 million. 2. "The Tourist," $17 million. 3. "Tangled," $14.6 million. 4. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1," $8.5 million. 5. "Unstoppable," $3.8 million. 6. "Black Swan," $3.3 million. 7. "Burlesque," $3.2 million. 8. "Love & Other Drugs," $3 million. 9. "Due Date," $2.55 million. 10. "Megamind," $2.5 million. RYAN: So the new Narnia opens atop the box but by all accounts underwhelms.CAROLINE: Yeah big 3D movies are expected to do much better, especially when part of a franchise.RYAN: A fourth wasn't likely to begin with and this certainly doesn't bode well.CAROLINE: Yeah I think we can stick a fork in Narnia.RYAN: The first two Narnia movies opened with $65 and $55 million respectively. And they weren't even in 3D.CAROLINE: Right, with higher ticket prices, the expectation was much higher.RYAN: But adding the oversees box office, it actually made more than $100 million this weekend but we'll see how it does in coming weeks.CAROLINE: Meanwhilst, The Tourist is at #2 but not with a great number either.RYAN: Well it was pretty much panned and doesn't really deserve much better. Angie and Johhny should have their proverbial tails between their legs.CAROLINE: [laughs] I do hope they choose better scripts in the future.RYAN: I am looking forward to Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's Dark Shadows.CAROLINE: Johnny and Tim working together?
