Alex Pettyfer Lined Up for Biopic on Racecar Driver James Hunt

He's already starring in the DreamWorks adaptation of the young adult sci-fi novel I Am Number Four (which could be the start of a new franchise for the studio), but the film's lead star Alex Pettyfer is just getting started at the studio. Deadline reports Pettyfer has just gotten his license to drive as the studio has set the young actor to star in a biopic of Formula One race car driver James Hunt. Using Tom Rubython's biography Shunt: The Story of James Hunt, the story will follow the life of the driver who climbed the racing ladder from Formula Three racing all the way up to winning the Formula One World Championships in 1976.

Apparently his success (fueled by a passionate, aggressive driving style which earned him the nickname "Hunt the Shunt") created a whirlwind of interest in the sport from Britain during his winning run, so this sounds like ...
