2011 Golden Globes Nominations

RYAN: This time of year is such a highlight for our most passionate subject. We're not even coming down from the high of the Critics' Choice Movie Awards nominations yesterday and already we're slapped, cold, across the face with the 2011 Golden Globe noms.CAROLINE: And we love it! But I have to admit, some of the nominations are an absolute joke! I mean, The Tourist - Best Comedy? Come on!RYAN: My jaw almost hit the floor when that was announced. It's lit'rally absurd, along with the acting noms for Angelina and Johnny.CAROLINE: The Hollywood Foreign Press probably just liked that the movie was shot in Europe.RYAN: Shutter Island was also shut out again and it was one of our favorite movies of the year.CAROLINE: Such a bummer. And I'm sorry, but Michael Douglas is only nominated because of the C word. And I'm not talkin' about a cable TV series.RYAN: [laughs] Rude. But true.CAROLINE: And also missing - True Grit.RYAN: Once again, the cred goes to the critics. The GGs might get more hype but it's our show, The Critics' Choice Awards (airing live January 14 on VH1) which is the one to watch.CAROLINE: Here's a complete list of the Globes nominations in the movie categories:Best Motion Picture, Drama Black SwanThe FighterInceptionThe King's SpeechThe Social Network Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical Alice in WonderlandBurlesqueThe Kids Are All RightRedThe Tourist Best Director - Motion Picture Darren Aronofsky - Black SwanDavid Fincher - The Social NetworkTom Hooper - The King's SpeechChristopher Nolan - InceptionDavid O.
