Matthew Goode in Talks for to Star in Chan-wook Park's Film 'Stoker'

Some casting worth reading. Variety is reporting that British actor Matthew Goode, seen in Match Point, The Lookout, A Single Man, Watchmen as Ozymandias, is now in talks to star in Stoker, the first English-language film from South Korean filmmaker Chan-wook Park (Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, Thirst). The indie drama is also set to star Mia Wasikowska as a moody teenager whose mysterious uncle comes back into her family's lives after the death of her father. The cast will also include Nicole Kidman and was supposed to have Colin Firth starring as well, but Goode is taking his "mysterious uncle" role instead.

The project was supposed to already be shooting and is a high priority for Fox Searchlight, where it's being developed. Tony & Ridley Scott are producing at Scott Free along with Michael Costigan.
