Brad Bird's Signature Style is All Over the New 'Mission Impossible'

Though this may be his first live-action feature, I have absolutely no reservations about Brad Bird, the director behind Pixar's stellar films The Incredibles and Ratatouille, taking on Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. With Tom Cruise returning as Ethan Hunt, and Jeremy Renner being lined up to take over the franchise, there's a lot riding on this sequel. Thankfully, producer J.J. Abrams (who also directed the fantastic Mission Impossible 3) just recently spoke to MTV about Bird's work on the sequel, and it's all good news. Abrams says, "Not only is the movie coming along, but what I've seen is kind of unbelievable."

Abrams goes on to talk about how Bird's style, even outside of animation, can clearly be seen in this film:
