Just recently we learned that Anna Faris, Kristen Wiig and Gillian Jacobs were in the running to snag the female lead in The Dictator, a new comedy from Borat collaborators Sacha Baron Cohen and director Larry Charles. In addition, TV actor Jason Mantzoukas ("The League") was also in talks to play a character alongside Cohen. It turns out his character is one of two Middle Eastern characters who somehow factor into the story about a heroic dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy never comes to the country he so lovingly oppressed. Variety now reports that Ben Kingsley will play the other foreigner. Awesome!
In the film, Cohen is supposed to play both the titular leader and a goat herder, but it's not clear how the two characters will interact within the story. Either way, it should be quite an interesting comedy full of satire since it's ...
