TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT

RYAN: I was primarily interested in seeing this movie because of Anna Faris. She's so cute and funny.CAROLINE: I missed the screening for this one and while I enjoy her too, I thought the bigger draw would be all the 80's stuff.RYAN: Yes, the music, the costumes, the hair was all very funny to remember the 80's.CAROLINE: Was it a fun movie, overall?RYAN: A little bit. It's weird because it's very much a John Hughes movie, in a way, or at ripping off from or paying homage to his work. But not in the refreshing way Easy A did last year.CAROLINE: So it's not that good.RYAN: No. It's pretty lame. It has some cute moments and the soundtrack is great but it's still lame. Basically, they tried to make an 80's movie for today's audience and I don't think it worked.CAROLINE: Not even for those of us who remember the 80's apparently...RYAN: Right. And Anna was completely underused.CAROLINE: That's too bad. Remember this movie was also made four years ago.RYAN: That's always really bad sign... when they can't figure out when or how to distribute a film... not good.CAROLINE: How's Topher Grace and the rest of the cast?RYAN: He's fine, average. And then there's the hot Aussie girl, Teresa Palmer, who was just in I Am Number Four and that fat actor Dan Fogler.CAROLINE: Nice.RYAN: Shouldn't he be cast sometime as the brother of either Zach Galifianakis or Jonah Hill?CAROLINE: Yes.-- BOTTOM LINE --RYAN: Definitely not worth the cash or the time to check it out. Some very brief comedic moments, and a bit of nostalgia but just not that entertaining.-- RATING --Cheeky & Fresh Movie Reviews
