The Dictator released its international trailer (specifically it’s from France) and it gives us our first real idea of the plot of the Sacha Baron Cohen film. Previous teasers have only given us the impression that Cohen plays a ruthless African dictator who lands in New York to address the U.N. We knew that Anna Faris starred in the film and thanks to the trailer, we now know that Cohen is kidnapped, has his beard removed and is sent out into New York where nobody believes he is The Dictator.
Cohen’s character winds up getting help from Faris’ and the two make quite a comic dream team. The film arrives May 11 and also stars John C. Reilly, Megan Fox (as herself) and Sir Ben Kingsley.
