Trailer Tuesdays!
RYAN: It's a mix of high and low at the box office this weekend. Let's start with Conviction, the new Hilary Swank Oscar vehicle which co-stars Sam Rockwell.CAROLINE: I'm excited for this movie. Hilary Swank makes a good one about every five years, so we're due for something Oscar worthy from her. This looks a little Erin Brockovich-esque what with the "based on a true story" angle and the legal aspect.RYAN: It's definitely got a buzz-worthy cast chock full of Oscar nominees other than Hilary, like Juliette Lewis, Minnie Driver and Melissa Leo. I think this movie has the potential to be great. CAROLINE: The trailer is amazing. Honestly, it makes me misty just watching it. I hope the movie's not over the top cheesy... but from the looks of the trailer, it's gonna be really good.RYAN: I have high hopes too. And maybe Hilary will win a third Oscar!CAROLINE: I kinda hope not. I think it's someone else's turn this year. Check out the trailer here:RYAN: Next up is Jackass 3D. I so don't give a hoot about this movie or any of its predecessors. CAROLINE: I haven't seen the other two movies either, and this one has the potential to be even grosser with the 3D and everything. I don't think you could pay me to see this.RYAN: I know I'm not the target audience, but I just don't see the appeal of these movies. They must make money though; I can't imagine the budgets are very high.CAROLINE: I used to really like the show on MTV, but I fear that in a film version the stuff they do is just too nasty for me. I heard something about a poop volcano, and I have no interest in seeing that. But for those who do, watch the trailer here: RYAN: Lastly, we have Red, which looks like an action movie for seniors.CAROLINE: I know, right? The cast is kind of brilliant. We're used to seeing Bruce Willis in action flicks, but Helen Mirren? Hilarious.RYAN: The sight of her wielding a gun is pretty awesome. The movie also has Morgan Freeman, Mary-Louise Parker and John Malkovich. CAROLINE: I can't say this movie is at the top of my must see list, especially since it's based on a comic book. That's not really my bag. But I do like the cast.RYAN: Yeah, I overall don't care too much about this movie, but I love Mary-Louise Parker!! She makes it worthwhile for me. Come on, it could be fun...CAROLINE: I guess I could give it a shot. Watch the trailer here:Cheeky & Fresh Movie Reviews
