It's been just over a week since we heard about the secretive new project Apollo 18 from producer Timur Bekmambetov and the production has already had a change of the guard. When we first heard about the project, freshman director Trevor Caewood was attached to direct it, but now Deadline is reporting that Spanish filmmaker Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego has now taken over the project. Apparently the director has a good relationship with Bob Weinstein since Dimension released his film King of the Hill, and The Weinstein Company is behind Apollo 18, the connected dots pretty much explains the shift behind the camera.
Previously, we found out the film would employ the recently popular "found footage" narrative device to highlight the Apollo 18 mission to the moon. The catch, in this case, is that the famed mission apparently never took place, but this film presupposed that the urban legend is true and Apollo ...
