Though we recently heard that a remake of his much loved comic adaptation Oldboy may have been revived (don't worry, apparently the rumors aren't true), director Park Chan-wook may finally be closing in on his English language debut. 24 Frames reports that the South Korean filmmaker is in talks to direct Stoker, a project written by "Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller that had previously been linked to Ridley Scott. In addition, it sounds like Carey Mulligan (An Education) and Jodie Foster are still attached to star in the drama about a young woman whose mysterious uncle comes back into her life after the death of her father.
Scott Free is still producing the project, but the increasingly busy Ridley Scott was likely to busy with other projects like two incoming Alien prequels, an adaptation of the board game Monopoly, a movie about the Gucci fashion dynasty, an American remake ...
