Matt Reeves Directing Vampire Project 'The Passage' for Fox 2000

Interesting news regarding the next project for Let Me In director Matt Reeves. Deadline is reporting that Reeves is attached to direct a movie called The Passage, based on the bestselling novel by Justin Cronin about "an experiment that goes awry and creates a swarm of bloodthirsty vampires that brings the world to the brink of extinction." It's interesting that Reeves has stuck with vampires, but he can craft a completely different world and probably will. Reeves was also recently attached to the film 8 O'Clock, basically a They Live remake. But they say "it isn't entirely clear which film is up next, but The Passage has a big head start."

That head start is because the script for The Passage was already written by John Logan (Gladiator, The Last Samurai, The Aviator, Rango, Bond 23), so Reeves is helping rewrite the script. In The Passage, a group of terminally ill ...
