Jennifer Lawrence, Hailee Steinfeld and More Up for 'Hunger Games'

As a whole slew of the most coveted young actors in Hollywood like Shia LaBeouf and many more are in contention to lead The Bourne Legacy, there's another coveted role for even younger female actresses. EW reports that as of now, about 30 actress have either read or had meetings about taking the challenging lead role of Katniss Everdeen in Lionsgate's adaptation of The Hunger Games from director Gary Ross. Since the role requires some serious acting chops names like Abigail Breslin (Zombieland), Chlo� Moretz (Let Me In), and Saoirse Ronan (The Lovely Bones) are unsurprisingly in the running. In addition, recently popular young Oscar nominated talents like Jennifer Lawrence (Winter's Bone) and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) are also in the running for the role, as expected after those accolades.
