Another cool sci-fi project. I don't know about everyone else, but I've been waiting for Alex Proyas to get back into futuristic sci-fi like his past films Dark City and I, Robot. He's currently slated to direct Paradise Lost and Dracula Year Zero, but there is another new project he has on the horizon. Deadline reports that Summit has closed a deal for rights to adapt AMP, a "near-future" science fiction thriller written by Daniel H. Wilson (also of Robopocalypse that Spielberg is adapting). Wilson agreed to Summit's deal because he was impressed by Proyas, who is attached to produce and potentially direct this for Mystery Clock Cinema.
AMP, which is still being written by Wilson (Robopocalypse isn't even out until June 2011), is set in a world where the technology designed to make the disabled whole, turns them into supermen. So I imagine they'll play around with the ethics and ...
